Intro to session

In this session, we’ll tackle the increasingly common challenge of Dry Eye Disease. With modern lifestyles ,environmental triggers and an aging population, dry eye has become a core focusing everyday clinical practice. Yet with so many products and pathways available, choosing the right treatment can be overwhelming.

We’ll break it all down, starting with the structure of a healthy tear film, understanding where and how it goes wrong, and how that should guide your management decisions. We’ll covering ingredients in depth, compare formulations, and explore prescribing pathways beyond artificial tears.

To bring the content to life, we’ll also be playing…charades. Yes, really. But not just for fun; each case-based scenario will challenge you to think on your feet, collaborate with colleagues, and apply clinical knowledge in a hands-on, memorable way.

This session will cover:

  • The lacrimal system and tear film anatomy
  • Causes of tear film instability and ocular surface damage
  • Ingredient deep-dives: demystifying what’s in the drop
  • When  and how to escalate from OTC to Rx
  • Real-world case management via Dry Eye Charades
  • Updates on innovations and new treatment approaches

By the end, you’ll leave feeling more confident in how to manage dry eye, more aware of your options and maybe even a bit competitive from all the charades.

Let’s play to progress!
